Abstract
In social welfare education, sexual issue has been neglected relatively compared to age, gender, disability and ethnicity, etc. Korean social workers are being put into the field without systematic and professional education related to sexual issues. In this context, the purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing on sexual intervention. Further, it is also to present empirical basic data to initiate in-depth discussion of social welfare education related to sexuality. We conducted a self-filling questionnaire survey for 294 subjects majoring social welfare in Daejeon and Chungnam areas from November to December 2016. It was found that sexual intentions (intentions of intervening sexual issues) were influenced through sexual intervention self efficacy by sexual education and attitudes. Based on the results of this study, we suggest practical implications for the social welfare education to promote intervention intention of sexual issue.
